	MESSAGE FROM THE EAST- April 2008 Dear Brothers, March 29^th a number of Gateway’s brothers (10 by my count) enjoyed attending the Second Utah Masonic Leadership Academy. The “second” since the format of attendance has been changed to include a much broader number of participance than when the meeting was the “Wardens Retreat”. Brother Loyd Davis has Chaired this project for a number of years and his efforts should be commended. I would suggest that the next time you see Loyd, thank him for organizing this event. The “Academy” is a great way to broaden our Masonic horizons and plan for the years ahead. Not only was Gateway numerous in attendance, but members were visiable though out the meeting. Brother Chuck Warren manned the GL store, Brother Jerry Everett and Brother Joe Darling were serving at breakfast, Brother Jonas Reeder was JD for the EA exemplification, and Brother Stan Senter was the “Senter” of attention as the candidate for the EA exemplification. I hope the members in attendance found it as stimulating as I did and will continue to support it. This month we also have Grand Lodge Visitation jointly with Golden Spike #6 and Unity #18 the 26th. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet with the Brothern from these lodges and the GL officers. I personally think the joint visitation adds some enjoyment to the occasion and will make this an evening every member will consider well spent. God bless you all and have the best April ever.
